What is your interviewer really asking?

  4. What is your greatest weakness?
  5. Why should we hire you?

b) Do you want the job just to get a paycheck?

c) What is holding you back in your career?

d) Don’t worry. This question really means ‘Would you like to ask something?’.

e) What would make you leave this job one day? Can our company prevent it?

f) Say a few things about yourself, so I can see if you can put a simple sentence together, but please don’t go on forever.

g) In a difficult situation, do you behave like a grown-up person and sort things out with your colleagues?

h) Convince me that I won’t have to manage and supervise everything you do.

i) I have already interviewed five other applicants for this position. What makes you the better choice?
